Monique Jérôme-ForgetMs. Monique Jérôme-Forget holds a number of high-level positions within the Québec government. She is Minister of Finance, Minister of Government Services and Chair of the Conseil du trésor. Additionally, she is the Minister responsible for Government Administration and as such is closely involved in the public administration and very interested in the subjects to be addressed at the 60th Conference of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada.

Ms. Jérôme-Forget has a strong academic background that includes a Doctorate in Psychology from McGill University in Montréal as well as studies in political economy at Université de Montréal, in history at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and in economics at the University of London.

She has also acquired diversified professional experience: assistant deputy minister at the Department of Health and Welfare of Canada, Chair of the Institute for Research on Public Policy and Chair of the Institut de recherche en santé et sécurité du travail (IRSST), as well as Chair and CEO of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) and also columnist for the Financial Post and Les Affaires.

Over the years, Ms. Jérôme-Forget has found time to be involved as well in many organizations. Some of the many responsibilities she has taken on include Board member of the Cinémathèque québécoise, Member of the Medical Council of Canada, Member of the Advisory Council of the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations of Queen’s University in Kingston and Vice-chair of the Annual Congress of the World Health Organization (WHO).
