An invitation from the honorary chair of the 60th IPAC Conference
The theme chosen for the 60th Conference of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) is New World, New Society, New Public Administration. Like all of you, I am directly involved in the issues to be considered at this Conference, and was thus very pleased to accept the Honorary Chair.
As Honorary Chair, I invite you to attend this indispensable conference. From August 24‑27, 2008, in Québec City, a line-up of prestigious speakers and international experts will provide many opportunities to look at how the past can serve to help us better meet the challenges faced by public administrations. The activities, which include conferences, round table discussions, workshops and adjudicated papers, are sure to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and help us better prepare for future projects back home.
I am also delighted that the 2008 edition of the IPAC Conference is being held in Québec City, during the city’s 400th anniversary celebrations. You are sure to fall under the spell of Québec’s capital, known for its history, charm, beauty and friendliness.
I join the Organizing Committee of the 60th Conference of the IPAC in inviting you to attend this major conference, a vital rendezvous for anyone interested in the renewal of the public administration.
